I've been researching my family as well. I've been unsuccessful getting information past my ggg grandfather. His name was James sheehy. He was born in county clare ireland in 1822.He traveled to Canada some time around 1835-40. He was married to a maria jones who was born in England n lived in Ontario til his death. They had many children including my gg grandfather Marshall who moved to east jordan mi in the early 1900s with his wife and children including my g grandfather earl.if this is familiar to anyone's records please contact me

Any McSheehys or MacSheehys from Donegal? Leaving Ireland during the potato famine, to Canada, settling in Northern Ontario?
